SMS Terms & Opt-In

Program overview

• Program name: Badgercal Appointment Reminders.
• Operator: The Scheduling Company, LLC d/b/a Badgercal.
• Message types: Appointment reminders, appointment confirmations, and links to reschedule or manage an upcoming appointment. We do not send marketing or promotional SMS messages.
• Message frequency: Varies per user and is driven by the appointments you book. Typically 0–3 messages per appointment.
• Rates: Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
• Help: Reply HELP to any message, or contact [email protected].
• Cancel: Reply STOP to any message at any time to immediately unsubscribe. No further messages will be sent.

How we collect your consent

SMS appointment reminders are strictly opt-in. When you book an appointment through any Badgercal scheduling page, the Client Details step contains an SMS opt-in checkbox. The checkbox is unchecked by default and is never required to complete a booking. Messaging consent is collected as a distinct, separate action; it is not bundled with our Terms of Service or Privacy Policy. You can complete a booking with the box left unchecked and will not receive any SMS messages.

Below is the exact opt-in module that appears on the public booking form at badgercal.com/book/schedule/details. The copy, default state, and disabled-until-phone-entered behavior shown here are identical to what end users see in production.

Carriers and privacy

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Messages are sent via our SMS provider (Twilio) and are subject to your carrier's coverage and rates.

Mobile information including phone numbers and SMS opt-in status will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support of the messaging program (for example, our SMS delivery provider) is permitted only to the extent necessary to deliver the messages you have opted in to receive.
